A new inmate arrived in Epstein’s SHU unit the same evening his cellmate was removed. Despite a standing order that he should not be *without* a cellmate, the new inmate was not assigned to his cell.
Do the prisoners get a regular mental health evaluation? If he was suicidal, he should have been on suicide watch. Even a prisoner not on suicide watch should be monitored when they are on their own. There are no monitors at that desk and no way of seeing his cell from that area.
Sounds to me they did it on purpose, either hoping he’d do it himself, or worse, someone went in and did it for him.
So the program I mentioned here examines the broken neck. I used to work in a mental hospital. While you can strangle yourself from any height taller than you, it results because of lack of oxygen.
Epsteins neck was broken on both sides including the hyoid bone… only from the height of the bunk bed. Ummm yeah… no. If he had paper thin bones, yes, they MIGHT have fractured. His neck bones … were snapped.
The program I mentioned shows the Xrays. The marks from the fabric are front to back and do not go up to the base of his skull. Meaning someone strangled him so hard, they broke his bones like a compound fracture almost.
Curiouser and curiouser hmmm...? I don't believe for a second he "suicided" himself. I believe he was about to make a plea deal because he knew he was going down for a long time and those cohorts of his Bill Barr for one couldn't have that! He was also the last person he met with other than the "phone call" to which no transcripts were released.
Andrew Bustamonte … who does the Everyday Spy series now has a special on Discovery Channel examining this. He recreated the cell. He did NOT kill himself.
Why wasn’t Garcia an appropriate choice to share a cell with Epstein?
Thanks for all your hard work keeping us informed. You are truly appreciated.
great piece!
Wow. Just wow...

I do believe he had just come off formal suicide watch

Suicidal people can hide their intentions well, and prisoners have a lot of time. He did horrible things, but it’s still sad.
perhaps the staff had an unwritten code of doing nothing to protect child rapists..
Fair point, but what occurred was quite directly the opposite
