This is another reason why grandmas’ hearts are breaking. Our most brilliant, hardworking, compassionate young people can not find the employment they have rightfully earned. Smart young people may now need to find a societal niche need to fill, in order to be gainfully self employed. Please help this brilliant and generous young man however you can.
Epstein-data is brilliant. Contract analysis is a good field. NDAs and non-compete clauses are keeping witnesses silent, and could use examination. 🧐 Have you looked at Research firms? Or start one and maintain your independence? Just ideas -
I am concerned for my son, who just graduated with a Bachelor's and is enrolled to pursue a masters in computer security. He struggles already with school and working part time as computer lab support, feeling behind because he is 33 and graduating with much younger people. It seems like all the "loose" computer folk should get together and form cooperatives to compete with the mega-platforms. There is a plethora of folks who will have free time to work together to make a more democratic, more privacy-protecting system of communication.
Your talent is undeniable. I agree keep up the faith! I also like Greg’s suggestion, you have the talent, chutzpah and skills to create your own future. Your Epstein site is over the top. I think you could create a compendium of all the scams, grift and illegal endeavors of the Trump administration and work w a democratic congress to track the changes that need to be made and the people to hold accountable for the hell they have and are putting us through. Imagine a grift data base revealing who made trades or paid to play with the Trump administration. Just an idea
You know what I thought when I read this? Besides feeling bad for you, also thought, wow, that’s really good writing.
I have a friend who’s a freelance writer in subjects that she likes. When I read this, it felt like an article in a publication, website, magazine, news media on-line. She makes good money.
It was really good to read this, great style, no annoying grammar mistakes or syntax, heart felt, and really a public service.
I’m sure that we’ll get a democratic government next time, until then it’s one more thing you could try. Of course starting your own business is another one.
An interesting bio. I was also told as a bookkeeper that my job situation would improve if I learned computers. This was before Windows so I had to learn everything there was to know about computer accounting on the DOS system. It still took me months to land a job at very low pay. Plus at 48 I had a student debt to pay off. The irony for me was as soon as I got my diploma windows shell came out. I was able to adapt because of what I’d learned in the DOS method. Another thing you have to look out for is that systems change so try to keep ahead if you want to be considered as worth while employing. It’s a bitch I know. Yet there’s no way around it. I wish I’d become a career waitress as the tips kept me alive day to day and my wage paid the rent. Sigh. ……
Sad that after investing so much time and money you're stuck like so many others. This economy sucks... although it's been falling off for awhile now. There's just no easy remedy for far too many people. Try to keep your spirits up and maybe look for new avenues to use your talents for the online community.
I feel absolute sympathy for you. I know you are a very mentally sharp person and deserve a real job opportunity. All those years of education and expense have to mean something. Anthropic seems like an ethical company, so I hope you land in that type of company. Blest wishes!

Great read, mate.

I’m keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you!
I feel your pain. It took me a year to find another job in my field. Overqualified or underqualified. Total BS.
Those are the same excuses I heard 55-60 years ago.
As always thank you for ‘saving’ others with your scam warnings and excellent Epstein files site.
I refuse to believe someone like you with your work ethic and tech talent won’t be snatched up soon. (Grandma hugs 🤗)
And now AI can do your job 24/7, no holiday, it doesnt complain about anything. And it doesnt need coffee, toilet, a car, a house.

Thanks, Rye, :(
I have to believe that when the right thing comes along it will be meant for you. Be patient and well young man.

I’m also very sorry about your mom, you are such a good son.
